Saint Mary’s College selected Ratcliff to design two significant additions which maintain the architectural integrity of the campus while providing state-of the-art instructional facilities. The new Filippi Hall School of Education building has been programmed to accommodate multiple functions, from a wide variety of credential programs to advanced degree studies in counseling, leadership, and reading. The two-story facility will provide modern teaching, observation, and instructional classrooms to be used by pre-service and in-service teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop skills. Additionally, a special center for Literacy Learning is included. Brother Alfred Brousseau Hall houses instructional and support spaces and faculty offices for the biology and chemistry departments, as well as a neuroscience instructional laboratory and an NMR. Consolidating the science program at Saint Mary’s College, this three-story structure provides a new identity for the science department and the ability for its users to collaborate in a dynamic teaching and research facility.
