Patricia Alarcón, Principal
Patricia has more than 20 years of experience designing K-12 and higher education environments. She is highly skilled at managing complex projects, working with large teams and multiple stakeholders to develop project vision, clarify design goals, and facilitate decision making. She is deeply committed to fostering a more equitable and just practice and started the Ratcliff Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (REDI) group, which champions policies and initiatives that foster diverse representation and inclusive design.
Young Ko, Associate Principal
Young has been with the firm for more than 25 years and during that time has become specialized in leading technically complex renovation and expansion projects for major healthcare facilities. He is adept at managing large design teams working within a variety of integrated project delivery methods and is noted for his highly effective communication skills with owners, contractors, and consultants.
Mark McFarlin, Senior Associate
Mark has nearly 20 years of experience in the design industry with a portfolio of civic, education, healthcare, and sports facilities. He is keenly knowledgeable of sustainable design and construction practices and has designed numerous LEED certified buildings throughout his career. He also has significant experience restoring historic structures and presenting to stakeholders concerned with historic preservation.
Nina Pakanant, Senior Associate
Nina takes great pride in translating design ideas for both new and existing K-12 and civic projects. She is highly effective in communicating sustainable design strategies and implementing best practices to achieve LEED certification on Ratcliff projects. As a member of the Ratcliff Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (REDI) group, she also enjoys teaching students and summer interns about sustainability and the built environment.
David Hevesi, Associate
David’s experience includes academic, workplace, healthcare, and mixed-use projects. He provides consultant coordination throughout all design phases and effectively manages in-house project staff. He also helps clients understand the benefits of sustainability and actively participates in the firm’s Green Group, which focuses on sustainable design.
Jongsun Lee, Associate
Jongsun embraces all aspects of project delivery—from client engagement and big picture planning to construction management and design development. His technical expertise also allows him to effectively convey major design concepts through visualizations that capture the essence of a project.
