Charles Armstrong School | Campus Master Plan

Ratcliff partnered with Charles Armstrong School to develop a comprehensive campus plan to meet fiscal and programmatic needs over the next decade. New facilities will support their unique student population who have dyslexia and other learning differences.

The proposed developments include a new 11,900 sf Academic Building which will contain small and large classrooms, a music classroom, a movement classroom, outdoor learning spaces, and a creative hub including art and makers' space. The building is adjacent to the existing classroom spaces to limit circulation across campus and fosters indoor-outdoor connection.

The new 11,100 sf Athletics Building will provide an all-weather regulation court for games and multi-purpose spaces for gathering. The Athletic Building would also contain a commercial kitchen to allow a nutrition program on site, as well as skills-based classes for students.

A new plaza area links to the proposed Academic Building and Athletics Building, with stormwater management, site lighting, perimeter seating and additional vegetation and promotes movement and outdoor learning.
